COMPETENCIES & SKILL

Myfm Business Unit Director

Completed multiple UK & international FM Projects, including:

  • Selected & implemented a full CAFM solution remotely for a major FM provider in Nigeria (CAFM Explorer)

  • Identification and management of building & FM compliance challenges for a major R&D business in a highly regulated environment. This assignment included CAFM assessment, selection and implementation (Planon) coordinated with a full hard FM procurement and implementation exercise.

  • Managed a12-month post-acquisition integration assignment for OCS Group Ltd, the largest acquisition ever made by OCS involving 4 JV businesses with 20,000 personnel throughout India. The businesses incorporated hard and soft FM services and client bases.

  • Provision of bid management services for a major international IFM provider incorporating win strategy, content creation, editorial work and graphic design.

  • Identification of justifiable savings for a pan European IFM contract for a major pharmaceutical provider. 

  • Creation of a new asset register and prioritised planned maintenance program for a UK landlord to support business compliance and continuity.

Key Achievements: 

  • Major FM business integration including the transfer of 450 staff & consolidation of overheads, resulting in profit enhancement and business retention of 94%, 
  • Moving a (soft FM) business from loss-making to a systematic profit (23% gross margin). 
  • Supporting the growth of a London centric soft FM business from £26M to £130M over a 9-year period (including Covid)
  • Design of optimum TFM organisational structure and operating profile to deliver successful IFM support & growth
  • Helped an international IFM company change bid success rate from 48% to 78% 
  • Successful implementation of Planon coupled with a comprehensive live Power BI integration, evidencing all contract KPIs. A single source of truth
  • Successful resolution and implementation of a long-term blocked CAFM project resulting in transfer of system and solution to a cloud environment and implementation of a full mobile solution (Planon)

Strategic Development Manager (OCS)

  • Key achievements: leading international TFM programme, driving and supporting TFM strategy for emerging and developing global markets in Asia, Australasia and Middle East

  • Creating and implementing organisational strategies as well as leading major projects, including complex bids

  • Implemented management development programme for OCS UK in association with BIFM and Asset skills

  • Established a compelling managing contractor model and associated marketing collateral to gain market share in the property sector

  • Located and established a rapidly growing serviced office business throughout the UK (i2 offices)

  • Managed the selection and implementation of a global CAFM solution for OCS (Concept Evolution)

Divisional Managing Director (OCS Integrated Services)

  • Won and mobilised largest single contract in OCS (Land Securities £20m pa)

  • Growth from £24m to £46m turnover in two years

  • Designed and developed a comprehensive Management Information System to provide an intranet-based tool to manage the FM business, subsequently developing into a global solution

Operations & Technical Director (OCS New Zealand)

  • Business re-organisation to create a “customer first” culture and structure 

  • Developed standard operating procedures and a new pricing and quotation package 

  • Set up marketing and sales department resulting in major contract gains including: Air New Zealand, Wellington Health Board Farmers Stores and NZ post as well as OCS NZ largest contract; Auckland District Health Board 

  • Introduced specialist services division (window cleaning, industrial cleaning, specialist floor work etc.) 

  • Year on year profit growth
